Update on Trump Tariffs: Is Chaos the Plan?

First of all, does anyone have any idea of what is going on with Trump's Tariffs anymore? It is kind of crazy, and maybe world-wide chaos is the plan, because that is certainly what Mr. Trump is doing.
What Are These New Tariffs?
Importantly, these new tariffs apply ONLY to non-CUSMA compliant products.
Even what “non-compliant” means is complex, but it seems that (from what I see on Google) more than 90% to 95% of Canadian exports to the U.S. are compliant (or sort of compliant), and so will NOT have this new 35% tariff rate applied.
And that’s assuming President Trump doesn’t change his mind by next week — or tomorrow.
Reminder: Presidents Don’t Control Tariffs
It is very important to note that in The United States, the President does NOT control tariffs.
It is very clear in the U.S. Constitution that tariffs are controlled by Congress.
And yet, Congress has completely stepped aside and is letting President Trump do all of these crazy tariff things — with and against the entire world — causing chaos and anger and lunacy among allies, friends, and etc.
So... WHY is Congress allowing the President to do this and cause this chaos??
Corporate Interests and Media Silence
Well, we know that the leadership of the U.S. Congress — from both parties — is extremely corrupt and does not work in the interests of the American People but seems to work for Corporate America and The Deep State.
Similarly with the North American Corporate Media:
The idea that Congress controls Tariffs and should be able to stop the President’s actions is never discussed.
Even though it should be a huge issue.
So the media is taking pressure off Congress and supporting the President’s seemingly crazy tariff policies.
Is America Being Dethroned?
It is very possible that The United States is being removed as The Number One Nation...
The economy is not great
The country is $36 Trillion in debt
The American people are also deeply in debt
And the public has been divided by media and politicians to the point where civil war is actually being talked about
All while President Trump is undermining the U.S. economy and the economy of its allies with these tariffs
So yes — definitely interesting times.
Tariffs Are Not the Problem — It’s the Execution
And to be clear:
I am not opposed to tariffs.
They can be a very good idea and an important part of a nation’s economic planning.
But you can’t do it the way President Trump is doing it…
...unless the goal is to anger your friends and allies and have them turn against you.
So — Is That the Plan?
Maybe we shall see.
