ISIS BACK IN NEWS FOR AUSTRALIA KILLINGS ... BUT DIDN'T THE U.S. FUND ISIS??
(Dec. 18, 2025): A lot of people with expertise in the field believe the United States created and funded ISIS. Unfortunately, in Canada and the United States the level of censorship is so out of hand that things like that are simply not allowed into our media and cannot be stated by our politicians or government officials. So most Canadians might think that the idea of ISIS working with and for The United States is crazy; but a case can be made that this is true and it is a sad state of affairs that certain facts cannot be mentioned or discussed in Canada these days.
Here is some information from a CounterPunch article written by Garikai Chengu in 2014. Mr. Chengu is an African historian. He has been a scholar at Harvard, Stanford and Columbia University.
Mr. Chengu says: "Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region. The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history."
He goes on to say: "The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan, General William Odom recently remarked, “by any measure the U.S. has long used terrorism. In 1978-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the U.S. would be in violation. During the 1970′s the CIA used the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt ... to thwart Soviet expansion and prevent the spread of Marxist ideology among the Arab masses. The United States also openly supported Sarekat Islam against Sukarno in Indonesia, and supported the Jamaat-e-Islami terror group against Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Pakistan. Last but certainly not least, there is Al Qaeda."
Also: "Lest we forget, the CIA gave birth to Osama Bin Laden and breastfed his organization during the 1980′s. Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, told the House of Commons that Al Qaeda was unquestionably a product of Western intelligence agencies. Mr. Cook explained that Al Qaeda, which literally means an abbreviation of “the database” in Arabic, was originally the computer database of the thousands of Islamist extremists, who were trained by the CIA and funded by the Saudis, in order to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan."
"Even as American foreign policy makers claim to oppose Muslim extremism, they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy. The Islamic State (ISIS) is its latest weapon. In order to understand why the Islamic State has grown and flourished so quickly, one has to take a look at the organization’s American-backed roots."
"ISIS is not merely an instrument of terror used by America to topple the Syrian government; it is also used to put pressure on Iran." ..."America is using ISIS in three ways: to attack its enemies in the Middle East, to serve as a pretext for U.S. military intervention abroad, and at home to foment a manufactured domestic threat, used to justify the unprecedented expansion of invasive domestic surveillance." (The fact that none of this can be talked about by the corporate media shows the depth of the censorship and control that exists in Canada and the United States.)
Here is something else on the topic of ISIS by Tim Anderson: Dr Tim Anderson is a Senior Lecturer in Political Economy at the University of Sydney. He researches and writes on development, rights and self-determination in Latin America, the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. He has published many dozens of chapters and articles in a range of academic books and journals. His last book was “Dirty war on Syria, 2016
"As explosions from detonated mines continued in the background a Syrian general confirmed in some detail an ugly truth: Washington and its close allies Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel backed the ISIS takeover and destruction of Palmyra. Most of the weapons ISIS used were from the US, with some ammunition from Israel. ISIS had US Hummers, spinning explosive projectiles and military rations from the US, Turkey and Saudi Arabia."
"The US, which since 2014 claimed to be conducting a war against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and which had air power and sophisticated surveillance of the region, did nothing to stop the huge ISIS advance on Palmyra. Again, this should have been unsurprising. Eight months earlier General Martin Dempsey, head of the US military, admitted that his ‘major Arab allies’ were funding ISIS. In response, Senator Lindsay Graham, chair of the US Armed Forces Committee, defended the sponsors of ISIS ... "
And finally .... "The following month, in October 2014, US Vice President Joe Biden explained that Turkey, Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia ‘were so determined to take down Assad … they poured hundreds of millions of dollars and tens, thousands of tons of weapons into anyone who would fight against Assad … [including] al Nusra and al Qaeda and … this outfit called ISIL .... US support for terrorist groups forming an ‘Islamic State’ was not an afterthought. It was they key idea from the beginning. In August 2012, US intelligence (DIA) reported that ‘The Salafist, the Muslim Brotherhood and AQI [al Qaeda in Iraq, later ISI and then ISIS] are the major forces driving the insurgency in Syria … there is the possibility of establishing a declared or undeclared Salafist principality [an ‘Islamic State’] in eastern Syria … and this is exactly what the supporting powers [the US, other western countries, the Gulf monarchies and Turkey] .... want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime.’
So today, when we hear about murders being committed in Australia by people working with ISIS, we should understand that the people who run The United States have always been behind ISIS - and we must understand that this informtion is widely known in official circles but is kept hidden from the Canadian people because they don't want us to know these things. The people who run Canada don't want us to know the realities of what is going on and what is being done; and since they own the media and control all our top politicians, it is relatively easy for them to hide the truth from us. The corporate elites who run Canada cannot be trusted and it is very dangerous to believe them.
