IS THERE A DEEP STATE?

I think there is a deep state.  I wish we spoke about it more in Canada and in the United States.  It's an important issue and if we are a democracy then we should perhaps investigate the 'possible' existence of this powerful group that some say is controlling our governments and our democracy.  Because, if there is a group of people who have too much power and are perhaps undermining our democracy, then that is something that should be looked at.  And yet instead, the idea is almost never talked about by our media or governments .... which isn't surprising because those two groups are of course part of The Deep State (if it exists).  The Deep State couldn't really exist if it didn't include the big media and our governments and top politicians. 

So I do think the Deep State exists, and I think they own the media and they control our governments.  And they control us.  And they don't give a damn about us.  You may have noticed this never ending 'pretense' by our media and our governments that 'They Really Care About Us'.  But I think that is one of the biggest lies of all.  For example right now the corporate media in Canada is really pushing the issue of Measles and The Need To Get Vaccinated.  The idea is that the media really care about public health and that is why they are so concerned about measles.  It's in the news almost daily, and the media are really pushing their 'concern'.  But over the last many decades, I haven't seen much real interest in public health from the media.  Even today, as The Canadian Prairies burn, there is no message from the media that maybe we should start to consume less if we want to save a future for all the children today.  And all the future generations as well.   

The media push the idea they really care about us by their coverage of the measles story ... they are worried about measles because they are so concerned about public health.  And of course vaccines are a very big business which will be helped by more public concern about the danger of measles.  But if the media told us to drive less and fly less and to generally consume less; and I think all of these things are very important for public health and the future of our planet....   if the media pushed these ideas then big business would lose big-time. 

So vaccines are pushed - but consuming less seldom gets a mention.  And that's what I mean by The Deep State.  One of their powers is the power to completely control the media story to always promote the interests of big business.  And also I think the deep state has the power to completely control our governments.  They control our governments.... we don't.  And I base that idea on just looking at how our governments actually operate on all important issues.   From what I can see one can certainly make the case that our governments most certainly do not work for us.  Also, I was just involved for two years with the BC NDP, which is the governing party here in British Columbia.  The NDP are the government here and therefore they have a lot of power.  And I can tell you with 100% certainty (although I could of course be wrong) ... but from what I saw the NDP Leadership is totally corrupt and undemocratic.  The BC NDP party leadership is made up of (in my opinion) a small gang that has all the power, and treats the party members with contempt .. The party members are completely irrelevant to how the party is run; all the power is at the top and the party members have literally none.  Even though the Constitution of the BC NDP clearly states that the membership shall control the party.  The leadership of the BC NDP are a disgrace to democracy, and I'm pretty sure all the other major Canadian political parties are pretty much the same in that all the power is at the top and the party members (the citizens) are irrelevant in terms of what the party does.   And the media of course never talk about this.  The pretense always is that our governments are working for 'us'.  So it is never publicly discussed that maybe our governments actually work for and are controlled by Big Business.  And the idea that maybe we are not a democracy but are really a corporate dictatorship is never mentioned and therefore that kind of idea is largely probably considered a conspiracy theory  (and maybe it is a conspiracy theory, but I sure do think that big business DOES conspire against us all the time.  But maybe I'm wrong.  .  And yet if you look at what is actually going on in our cities and provinces and country, one can make a case that what I'm saying is correct - that our governments don't work for us but instead work for some kind of organization that can be called the deep state.  The fact that the power of the deep state is never publicly discussed is evidence that that the deep state exists.  Or is that a crazy idea??  

Just take a look at this whole housing crisis that we have been in for the past 20 years.  Look at the high rents and backbreaking mortgages being paid by so many people.  Why is it never asked ... 'where is all that money going'?  Who is getting it?  In my opinion Corporate Canada deliberately created the housing disaster in Canada precisely because they knew they would make a lot of money from it.  And - in my opinion - they have made fortunes.  But again this question of 'follow the money' is something that is almost never talked about when housing is discussed.  

And the housing crisis was very easy to create.  First, around the early 1990s, the federal and provincial governments were removed from the job of building homes for Canadians.  Governments used to build lots of homes. 

And once governments were out of the home-building business, the private sector, which cares only about making money, created a shortage of housing.  And it is Economics 101 that a shortage of an essential thing like homes will push prices up.   Which is what happened.  Plus the industry and our governments worked together to push prices up as much as possible.  Interest rates were pushed to record lows and kept there year after year.  Our governments opened our homes up to speculators from around the world ... just come in and buy homes in Canada and make 10 or 15% a year.  And leave them empty if you want.  Or turn them into Air BnBs.   You can do what you want, make as much as you can ... and it was and is average Canadians who are paying for all of those profits.  What A Scam.  

And the housing industry including the banks and etc. made the shortage of housing so bad that they actually created a homeless population in Canada, which is something we DID NOT HAVE before.  The homeless are just 'collateral damage'.  The people who run things made the housing shortage so extreme that for tens of thousands of people there was nowhere to live and they were forced onto the streets.  And this was deliberate, so we can see how much our deepstate rulers 'care about us'.  And that has been Canada's housing policy for more than 20 years - create a shortage of homes and push up rents and prices.  Isn't it great. 

And to me the housing disaster is evidence of how the deep state runs Canada.  Decisions are made that will benefit the people at the top.  We Canadians are never told what they are doing.  The politicians and the governments and the media and the industry all work together (conspire?) to make sure it all happens as planned.  And they all pretend that they are 'trying their best to fix this housing mess up' ... but they just can't figure out how to do it.  'We are so sad" they say to the Canadians who can barely pay the rent or the mortgage and who can barely afford to eat.  We are so sad.  But we are trying.  Just trust us.   While the money of millions of Canadians flows upward to the banks and the investors and the speculators and the politicians and etc. 

But that kind of idea is not allowed to be discussed in the corporate media.  And no corporate politician dare say it either.  And maybe my whole idea here is crazy, but to me it seems that there is a deep state and this is exactly how they operate.  They run things for themselves, and the housing scam is just one more way they steal from us.  We have GMOs in our food because big business wants that, what the rest of may want is of no importance.  We have thousands of untested chemicals in our food because big business wants that.  Half of us will get cancer but big business is never help responsible and nobody goes to jail for poisoning us; it fact they just keep getting richer.  And on and on it goes.  

So is there a deep state?
