Manitoba Declares Fire Emergency Again — 13,000 Evacuated
MANITOBA DECLARES FIRE EMERGENCY AGAIN AS THOUSANDS MORE EVACUATE...
Thousands of people are being moved into a large Convention Centre in downtown Winnipeg as the number of (seeming) Climate Change Refugees grows ever larger.
According to the CBC, there are now about 13,000 Manitobans out of their homes due to the wildfires; and Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew says The Convention Centre can house about 7,000 of them.
That should be fun for those people.
A Record-Breaking Fire Year — Again
Just over a million hectares had burned in Manitoba wildfires as of Tuesday, the latest provincial data said.
That's nearly 11 times the 20-year average of 94,000 hectares by this time of year.
And the 20-year average is already inflated by the many major fire years recently.
The Real Perpetrators: Corporate Climate Arsonists
Also, it is time Canada's Corporate Owned Media, and the Oil and Car Industries, and the Banks who finance them, began to be held accountable for some of the costs of these fires.
Huge profits have been made over recent decades by large corporations that knew EXACTLY where their policies were going to lead — because their own researchers and scientists told them what the costs of fossil fuel pollution would be.
Profit Over People
Instead, these corporations used their money to buy up politicians and governments, allowing more and more damage to occur so they could maximize profits.
And now we are all paying the price, and they’re not even being mentioned as the perps.
Which they are.
Where’s the Accountability?
But nobody is charged with crimes, and things are only getting worse.
Stay Tuned…
Because this won’t be the last emergency we see.
