A CHANGING CLIMATE AND MORE THAN 50 DEAD IN TEXAS FLOODING

And still not one word anywhere in the media or from any government officials that we have to start driving less and flying less and consuming less and wasting less.

Mother Nature is showing us, bit by bit and year by year, that what we are doing is leading us to disaster. But the Oil Industry and the Car Industry and the Corporate-Owned-Media and all the rest of them are so strong and so powerful, that no changes are allowed. And of course we all want to keep driving our cars and flying off on our holidays and etc... – but the choice is increasingly clear: we are on a road to total disaster and we have got to change.

And maybe I am wrong; maybe there is no such thing as human-caused climate change. A lot of people honestly do not believe that climate change is real, and maybe they are right. But I've also noticed that many people who don't believe in climate change would still like us to move away from overconsumption and plastic and cars and flying and etc. — for a variety of reasons, from polluted air to plastic in our brains, to just the waste we see around us every day.

There are ways forward that will give us better lives and a better society, and with much less use of fossil fuels and less mining and less waste in general. It's far too late to start — but we have to start anyway. It's time.

These fifty deaths in Texas — now up to 80 dead — with the numbers still growing, are just the tip of the iceberg. The Oil Industry leaders, and a lot of our top politicians and the owners of our media corporations, should be in prison for what they have done to us. Instead, they get richer and richer while others die for their greed.

And now here in Canada, we have a Prime Minister, Mr. Carney, who tells us every day that the way forward is more pipelines, more oil and gas, more mining, and all the rest. And of course Billions more to be spent on the Military Industrial Complex. We are definitely in crazy times as the human race destroys itself because we all want 'more' and think there is no cost to that.

Well, Mother Nature is going to show us some truth, and it is not going to be pretty.
(Or so I think.)
