WHO BENEFITS FROM HOMELESSNESS IN CANADA?

(HINT:  I think the big winners have been ... The Banks. Investors.  Speculators. Housing Entrepreneurs. And etc   And the big losers are millions of Canadians paying the high rents and high mortgages that pay for their fortunes.  )

So how does Corporate Canada benefit from homelessness?    What they benefit from is The Housing Shortage that 'created' the homelessness.  The homeless people are just ... collateral damage .... as the U.S. military likes to say.

Corporate Canada wanted a housing shortage in many parts of Canada so they could push up rents and push up mortgage payments.  And isn't that exactly what they have done?   They wanted - and created - a housing shortage in Canada to push rents and prices up. Because THEY are the ones who get a lot of the rents and a lot of the mortgage money that a lot of people are working very hard to pay.

IT'S THEFT.  That's what I think.  It's theft from a lot of hard-working and good Canadians who have been suckered.  And are being royally screwed.  And we don't get it because 'they' ... the banksters and super-rich elites who really run Canada basically control all the big media and they control all our top politicians, and they control our governments.  So we think we live in a great democracy and have a free press, while 'they' laugh all the way to their banks.  (And, maybe I am completely wrong here, but from what I've seen in my lifetime, what I'm saying here is very possibly true.  But it can't be mentioned by anyone who wants to have a career in their world.

Our governments have let this housing crisis be done to us.
That's because our governments don't work for us.  Canada is more of a corporate dictatorship than it is a great democracy.   Our governments are, sadly, basically gone from us.  They don't care what we want and they don't care about us.  We are irrelevant.  And we sadly can't trust the corporate media either because they are basically all owned by Corporate Canada.  If you want to be a corporate journalist in Canada today, then you have to do exactly what the corporations tell you to do.  Or you will be fired.  And that is what we Canadians still think is a free press. That's the scale of the mess we are in.

Our governments used to build a lot of good housing, as they should, and back then we were a middle class country and homes were pretty cheap and so were rents and there was a lot to choose from.  And what Corporate Canada did was to turn our homes in a "casino" for whoever wanted to take advantage of us.  People made fortunes.  And a lot of Canadians paid, and are paying still.

About thirty years ago our governments were 'removed' from the home-building industry, and we Canadians were left in the hands of the corporate housing industry which cares ONLY about making money.  And they have made and are making LOTS of money.

And that's why we have to have homelessness.
Because in order to really push up rents and prices they created - deliberately created - a shortage of homes so severe that those at the bottom will be homeless.  Or living in RVs.  Or in cars.  Or dead.   But nobody at the top cares..  It's just Collateral Damage.

And we Canadians have paid a huge price for this ongoing theft of our money and wealth being carried out against us by Corporate Canada.  Plus they are wrecking our society and causing a lot of stress for a lot of people.

And that, in my opinion, is how Canada is Really Run in the year 2025.  And if we don't smarten up and realize what is being done to us, it is only going to keep getting worse.

The only solution I can think of is "more democracy in Canada".   And we can do that.  And democracy just means a government where the people have a voice.  Did we ever vote for this housing nightmare?  No, but they did it to us anyways.  And without even telling us what they were doing.

But first we have to think that democracy is important.  And we have to realize that our democracy is basically gone.  I think we are more of 'A Corporate Dictatorship' than we are A Democracy.  So it's time for some change.  But the change can only come from 'us'.  So we have to start making it happen...  But so far, we're not.  So we have to start to get organized.  For Democracy.  (Stay Tuned)
